Working along side Creative Scotland, the Island Arts Co-Ordination for Arran & Cumbrae, Archaeology Scotland, and local artists, Drumadoon will be offering Creative Residences from Summer 2024.
A unique retreat
Drumadoon offers a unique haven for artists seeking inspiration. Our spectacular location and stunning scenery has a backstory of 10,000 years of human history. It's a place that allows visitors to be inspired and reconnect with past, present and future.
The rugged coastline with sea cliffs, sea caves, fringing rejuvenating Celtic Rain forest, and wild hills covered with ancient monuments all add up to a very special and almost 'spiritual' environment.
People have gathered and been inspired at Drumadoon for thousands of years. As custodians of the land we feel it’s important to help future generations nurture artistic talent using the landscape as a catylist for creativity.
Vintage accommodation
We believe artistic and creative souls should be able to experience the raw nature and solitude at Drumadoon so we have built a unique retreat.
Our fully mobile 1956 Bedford Vintage truck has been converted into an off grid and cosy ‘home from home’. It’s fully self contained, and can be moved around the landscape, accessing the most remote and spectacular areas of the estate.
The internal accommodation comprises of a kitchen with a wood burning range, dining table and benches, living area, as well as two bunk style queen size beds. There is an outdoor hot water shower, and of course a composting 'outhouse' toilet with spectacular views.
